Scottish Drift Championship (SDC) 2022

SDC 2022 INFORMATION

EVENT DATES

All rounds will be held at Driftland.

Round 1 Sunday 24th April 2022.
Round 2 Sunday 3rd July 2022.
Round 3 Sunday 9th October 2022.
Round 4 FINAL - Sunday 20th November 2022.

SDC 2022 COSTS
Driver entry fee per round £120 includes 1 free pit crew.

Sun strip is free on initial sign up for 2022. (£12 thereafter).

Tyre changing £6 per change. (One on/one off) £3.00 per disposal.

Additional pit crew £10. (MAX 2 inc your free one)

VIP parking £10 per car. (In addition to spectator entry cost)
Spectator costs to be confirmed.

REGULATIONS FOR 2022
Minimum 2ltr AFFF FOAM handheld extinguisher fitted within reach of the driver while seated and belted.

Fire retardant gloves are mandatory.

If aftermarket seats/harnesses are fitted they must be securely/safely mounted.

Front and rear tow straps/tow hooks securely mounted and visible. Either by using a “TOW” sticker or contrasting colour to bodywork.

The above regulations are in addition to the standard Driftland car & driver rules.

2022 ENTRY CRITERIA
We continue to work closely with The British Drift Championship during the off season and the SDC will continue as in 2021 to be a direct feeder series to the Pro 2 Grid of the BDC 2022.

Any driver holding a Full UK manual driving license or a Driftland license.

Any car/driver qualifying for SDC regulations and Driftland regulations.

Road tyres with a maximum width of 225 are allowed. No Semi Slicks.

102dB hard limit static and drive by.




PROGRESSION
The top 4 from rounds 1 to 4 of the SDC will be given the opportunity to compete at a round of BDC Pro 2 and attempt to gain a BDC Pro 2 license. (Providing the car and driver meet the BDC regulations required at the time of competing).

The top 4 from the SDC 2022 Championship will be issued an entry permit for BDC Pro 2 2023. (Providing the car and driver meet the BDC regulations required at the time of competing).

PRACTICE, QUALIFYING AND POINTS STRUCTURE
Group A and Group B, set practice times.

Qualifying for the each round will be Group A first followed by Group B. For example group A will consist of driver numbers 100 – 51 and group B will consist of driver numbers 50 – 1.

It will be your own responsibility to make sure that you are on the grid ready to do your qualifying run.

This does not need to be done in numerical order. However it does need to be done in that time bracket.

Times etc will be continually updated via the facebook chat group on the day.

2 non-consecutive qualifying runs.

The point’s structure will be the same as SDC 2021.
